With its head office in Mississauga and laboratory in Toronto, HemaStem is another Ontario-based cord blood banking company, though they work with Americans as well, utilizing the Community Blood Services lab in New Jersey. HemaStem also has a Chilean branch, and appears to be affiliated with (or own) FutureMed in Saudi Arabia as well.

Established in 2000, HemaStem brought to market its first commercialized adult stem cell platform in 2002 and fully incorporated into HemaStem Therapeutics Inc. in 2004.
