The Genesis Bank was founded and began offering cord blood banking services in mid 2004. Their parent company; General BioTechnology LLC, has been around since 1997 developing improved cryopreservation methods, including the storage of umbilical cord blood stem cells.
The Genesis Bank operates its own storage facility in the Harlan Biotechnology Center (HBC) immediately adjacent to the Indiana University School of Medicine and Clarian Health Hospital network.
The Genesis Bank is one of the more affordable cord blood banks in the industry, offering start-up costs that are significantly lower than most of it's competitors, as well as annual storage fees below the norm.
